SALONE@65 Independence Party
Sierra Leone became independent on April 27, 1961. For the 65th anniversary, SALDAC brought the community together on the Saturday before, at Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association in northeast Calgary.
Guests dressed up for the night and posed in front of a 65th-anniversary backdrop framed with green, white and blue balloons, Sierra Leone's colours.
The Independence Celebration is SALDAC's main event every year. When the date for the next one is set, it will be posted here and in the SALDAC Calgary Facebook group.
